It sounds lovely, Susy. I used to live in Pioneer and went to a little country church there, too. I have fond memories of the dear saints who loved Jesus and brought me meals and made me baby quilts when I had my second baby. There's a lot to be said for living everyday life among believers without the distracting glitz of bigger churches.
Yes! When Pastor Janna heard our first grandchild was on the way, she ran to a cabinet and pulled out a hand crocheted sweater and hat. So kind. Iβm glad you felt cared for.
I ache, deep inside, when my longtime brothers and sisters in Christ leave for another church. The union we have in Christ makes us closer than my biological family members.
It hurts. Our prayer for them is they find a congregation that loves them as much as we did.
This is a really lovely piece, Susy. My soul is quieted and encouraged. Thank you. π
That makes me happy
Love this. We have also found a smaller church, liturgical in structure, gospel centered, community focused. It is a breath of fresh air
It sounds like a good place.
